The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, which gave federal tax credits on select energy-efficient products, have been reinstated for 2016. How the Tax Credit Works
Before December 31, purchase and have installed regular Duette® Architella® honeycomb shades or the Alustra® Collection of Duette® Architella® honeycomb shades of certain sizes with qualifying fabrics and lift systems that are inside-mounted over a double-glazed window. The tax credit for your qualifying Hunter Douglas product is 10% of the purchase price of the product only (excluding sales tax and measuring and installation charges), up to $500. The tax credit is subject to a lifetime limitation of $500. Consult your tax advisor about your individual tax situation and your ability to claim this tax credit. Energy-Efficient Duette® Architella® Honeycomb Shades
The most energy-efficient window covering on the market today, the Hunter Douglas Duette Architella honeycomb shade has a cell-within-a-cell construction, which works in two ways to save you money on your energy bill. First, it acts as an insulation barrier to help maintain a consistent temperature inside so warm air doesn’t escape in the winter. Second, it reduces solar heat gain from the sun in the summer, allowing you to keep your environment cool and comfortable. Incredibly, in the summer, solar heat gain on an uncovered window is almost 76%. When you use Duette Architella, it drops to only 15%.
