When you think about your window treatments, do you consider how they look from the outside? At Windows to the World serving northeastern Pennsylvania, many of our customers ask us how they can help ensure that they achieve a cohesive look, even if they buy different window treatments for each room. Luckily, Hunter Douglas—the leader in the window fashions industry—has the solution. If you’re looking for new window treatments for your home, speak with one of our representatives today.
Meeting the Requirements of Each Room
Our customers often ask us if it’s wise to use the same window treatment in each room of their home. But what it comes down to is that each room has different requirements for privacy, light control, UV protection, and more, so different products might be more appropriate for each room. Then the concern becomes that the house will look like a jumble from the outside. However, Hunter Douglas has the answer by providing window treatments that allow a consistent took throughout the home, but with different opacity and operating options. For example, with Duette® Honeycomb Shades, the backing is white to the outside; however, the front can be whatever color or fabric that fits the room’s décor. So, in a room where you want complete darkness, an opaque fabric would be a good choice. In a room where you want privacy but still have natural light, you might choose a semi-opaque fabric. And in a room where you want a view but still have UV protection, you might choose a Duolite™ option with sheer fabric on top and semi-opaque fabric on bottom. Other scenarios include rooms that have both a sliding door and a regular window. With Hunter Douglas, you can choose the Vertiglide™ option for the sliding door and a standard shade for over the sink. Or you could go with Skyline® Gliding Window Panels for your sliding door and Designer roller or screen shades for your horizontal windows in coordinating fabrics.
